Which coat for which race?
Not all dogs have the same needs when it comes to the cold.
Here is our quick guide to choosing the right coat according to your pet's breed.
🔴 Maximum protection needed
Small breeds:Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Miniature Pinscher
Territories and Breeds:Greyhound, Boxer, Doberman
These dogs need well-insulated, waterproof, and covering coats.
Opt for lined models that protect the stomach and chest.
🟡 Moderate protection
Medium breeds:Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Pug
A light and breathable coat is sufficient for long walks.
Choose a waterproof model for rainy or snowy days.
🟢 Protection rarely needed
Nordic breeds:Husky, Malamute, Samoyed, Newfoundland
Their double coat provides natural protection. A coat is only necessary for old or sick dogs.
Is your dog cold?
Watch for these signs: trembling, slowing down, raised legs, darting between the legs.
Our advice
